Elevate+ is currently supporting paid internships in New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, Ohio, Washington, D.C., and California with plans to expand sustainably to other locations.
Internships are available to eligible students aged 16 and above in high school, college and graduate school. Students will qualify for an internship if they meet the following criteria:
- They come from a low-income background
- They are member of a marginalized community
- They are strong achievers in the classroom or in their community
Organizations interested in sourcing talent for our internships will be required to play a small but critically important role in the intern placement process. Through a designated contact, typically a guidance counselor, career counselor, student advisor, or academic coach, the sourcing organization will ensure the students meet the program eligibility requirements. The designated contact will also review the available internship opportunities and identify the students that are likely to be a best fit, either through specific academic interests or the type of experience the internship will provide. Finally, the contact will support students' applications to specific internship opportunities.
