Nora Radest has been an active volunteer and community leader in Summit, NJ for over 30 years. She has served on the PTA/PRO Legislative Committee and was a founding member of Speak Up Summit, an advocacy group for the Summit Public Schools, ultimately serving as its president for three years. She served on the Board of Education and was the president for one school year. She joined the board of trustees of the Summit Educational Foundation and served as its president for three years. She has served on the board of The Connection, an Elevate to Even+ hosting partner, for ten years. Nora was elected Mayor of Summit, NJ and served two terms from January 2016 to January 2024.


Mayor Radest graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from Bowdoin College and received a JD from Fordham Law School.
