Miriam Nelson, PhD, is a Senior Partner at Korn Ferry and an Industrial-Organizational Psychologist specializing in leadership assessment, selection, and talent strategy. She helps organizations make smarter, fairer people-decisions through evidence-based, practical assessment approaches. A lifelong New Jersey native, she brings a grounded, market-focused perspective on access, opportunity, and workforce readiness.

Beyond her consulting work, Miriam mentors emerging I-O psychologists, supports the veterans coaching program, volunteers as an English-partner for a colleague in Ukraine, and participates in an international cohort promoting cross-cultural dialogue and collaboration.

Miriam is a passionate believer in the power of internships: her own graduate-school internship evolved into a 25-year career at the same organization — an experience that shaped her view of how early opportunity can alter a person’s trajectory. She remains deeply connected to the field through mentoring, speaking, and professional involvement.
