Summer Internship Application

Upward Mobility, a diversity internship program for Black, Indigenous, and people of color (BIPOC)

About

The world moves forward when talented people are in the right place at the right time.  The global mobility industry makes this happen. We are the people who relocate employees and their families across the country and around the globe.

We are moving companies and real estate brokers; cultural specialists; immigration, tax and employment law experts; talent recruiters; logistics pros and relocation managers.  We help employees and their families settle into their new homes and careers; and we get them out of harm’s way in times of trouble. Our clients are companies of every size and in every industry, government agencies, non-profit organizations, and the military.

Our days are never dull because we keep the world moving.  Join us!

Guidance for preparing your resume

  1. Your resume should be targeted to be effective. If you don’t know what you want, it’s going to be difficult for the reader to know. The first step is to determine what skills, experience, and education are needed for your target job.

  2. Understand that your resume should not include everything you’ve ever done. You don’t need to list every job you’ve ever held. Nor do you have to list every aspect of the responsibilities that you held.

  3. Resumes are not “one size fits all.” You can’t expect a resume focused on one type of role to open doors for you in another career field. A resume written for a marketing internship isn’t going to work for someone applying as finance internship. There may be aspects of the resume that you can use in both versions of the resume, and you can easily modify the resume to work for both positions, but you shouldn't use the same document.

  4. The most important thing to remember is: Your resume is not about what you want — it’s what you can offer to an employer. Everything you put in your resume should relate to the job that you’re seeking, demonstrating to the hiring authority what you can do for the company in that position. When trying to decide whether something is relevant, think about the hiring manager.

  5. Use this resume file name format:    "Applicant-First-Name Applicant-Last-Name 202x "                                                                                     example Carolyn Parelli 2025

  6. Accepted resume file types: .pdf    .doc   .docx
